Join the Philoptochos for an inspiring pilgrimage to Constantinople to celebrate His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s name day! Celebrate Vespers at Baloukli Monastery and Liturgy at St George’s Cathedral at the Ecumenical Patriarchate in honor of His All Holiness’s Name Day. Attend a private audience with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and a dinner in his honor. Visit the important Greek Orthodox sites: Agia Sophia, Panagia Vlacherna where the “Te Ypermaho” was first chanted, Topkapi Palace (the relics of St John the Baptist), Underground Cisterns, and the Church of the Holy Savior (Chora). Enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus to the island of Halki, and visit the Theological School. Enjoy an afternoon at the Zographeion Greek School and see the young Greek students at work. Shop at the exciting Grand Bazaar & Spice Bazaar where the aromas of spices fill the air. Also see the famous sites of the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque.
