The following projects are in addition to the National Philoptochos Society regular Commitments and Programs.   From time to time, the National Philoptochos identifies a special need and establishes a Special Appeal to raise funds to benefit these causes. 

Kyklos - Circle of Glory

Funds from this Special Appeal were donated to the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in St. Louis, MO for the epic mural and sculpture bearing the Philoptochos name in honor of the Olympic Games held in Athens in 2004.  Kyklos was installed at Spyro Louis Stadium, where the opening and closing events of the Olympics were held. 

Leadership 100 Endowment Fund 

This donation represents the final payment, fulfilling the Philoptochos Society's membership commitment to Leadership 100. 

Social Service Special Appeals

In rare cases, the Social Services Department issues a Special Appeal to provide funds to pay the medical expenses of especially needy individuals with no other resources. 

Bessie Pappas Children's Charities

This fund was established with a special grant from the Bessie Pappas Family, specifically earmarked for assistance to children.
