National Philoptochos Launches New Web Site

Philoptochos Society Launches New Website

In 2006, the National Philoptochos Board developed plans for a new website that would increase local, national and international awareness of the scope of the charitable works of the Society, and would also serve as a resource for members and Chapters across the country.  In Spring 2008, the website finally became a reality.The organization of the website is as follows:

  • In the left hand column, a "Chapter Presidents Alert" will contain links to the latest news and announcements. Tabs across the top of the page are as follows:
  • National Philoptochos Society. Here you will find information on the organization of the Society, including our Mission Statement and History, National Board Members, National Committees, Metropolis Board Members, and a Chapter Directory. We hope that this will help our members to better understand the organizational structure of the Society.
  • News and Events. This tab contains links to the latest Press Releases, articles on National and Metropolis events, and Chapter Correspondence. This is where Chapter and Metropolis news, events and photos will be published, so please submit your news to the Public Relations committee for uploading to our new website.
  • Ministry and Outreach.  This tab contains information on the heart and soul of our Society. You will find links to descriptions of our Commitments and Programs, Projects, Children's Medical Fund, and a detailed listing of our charitable donations, which total $8,530,419.00 for the period January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2007.
  • Resources. Here you will find downloadable copies of our Society ByLaws, Procedural Manual, Chapter Forms, Commitment Program Coupon Book, GOLPSI (financial) Guidelines, Project Bank Manual, 10 Ways to Improve Membership booklet, Convention Skills, and Logo. 
  • National President. This tab contains the biography and downloadable photo of our National President, the President's Itinerary, National Board Reports, Messages, and Seasonal Greetings.
  • Social Services Department. This tab is a direct link to the website of our Social Services Department, which contains a Resource Database and Information Manuals & Articles to assist Chapters in providing more effective assistance to those in need.
