The National Philoptochos and the San Francisco Metropolis Philoptochos presented the 11th Children's Medical Fund Luncheon, "Let Us Rejoice and Embrace the Children," on November 10, 2007 in Newport Beach, CA.  Program highlights included donations totalling $180,000 presented to seven children's hospitals and special children's medical programs in the San Francisco Metropolis and medical care for children afflicted with diseases, malnutrition and other ailments in the Orthodox Archdiocese of Zimbabwe, Africa.
